(Watertown - 1988 YOB). Senior at St. Sebastien's School, writes of his
experiences from ages 12 - 17 in the Massachusetts Satellite Training Program. Last
summer Doug was selected along with 5 other Massachusetts Satellite players
to represent the United States in International competition in Geneva Halle, Germany.
Doug had previously represented Massachusetts 2 years earlier in Stockholm,
Sweden on the Mass Under - 15 Team.

Skating over the summer with coaches who teach you the game prepared me
for the national camps and the trip to Halle, Germany as well as my fall and
winter seasons. I feel that I gained the most from the Satellite Program
through what the coaches taught me over the years.

With all the coaches coming in from different college teams, you are bound to
learn something new from each one. I have been able to learn from each coach
I have had the opportunity to work with.That is the part of the program I
believe is most beneficial.

Also the experiences I had traveling with the Satellite Program (Festivals,
Sweden) helped me take on more serious trips because of the experience I have
gained.
